Dael Nathan

Dael Nathan will be remembered as a man who lived fully, connected deeply and gave generously of himself to others. A devoted husband and father, he balanced family, business and community with a warmth that drew people towards him.

Professionally, Dael was a dynamic and entrepreneurial spirit. He served as Marketing Director at Juicy Lucy and was the owner of Shirley’s Bakery, where his energy and creativity were evident in everything he touched. He also built and ran a successful plumbing business specialising in investigative plumbing, a niche that reflected his curiosity, problem solving mindset and determination to get to the root of any challenge.

Beyond his work, Dael was a passionate outdoorsman and served as past chairman of Dullstroom Flyfishing, where he contributed to a community he loved. He was known as an exceptional connector of people, someone who brought others together with ease, humour and sincerity. His vibrant personality, quirky ways and deep love for dogs made him unforgettable to those who knew him.

Dael faced cancer with courage, surrounded by the many people whose lives he had touched. He is remembered as a great man who cared deeply, lived boldly and left a lasting mark on his family, his friends and his community. His legacy is one of connection, kindness and a life lived with heart.

He will always be part of our Legacy of Love.
